Batuhan Bayar is a Turkish actor. He is known for his role as Niko in Barbaroslar: Akdeniz’in Kılıcı (Barbaros: Sword of the Mediterranean, also: Engin, Cemre, Ulaş & Aytek). Other series and movies he acted in are Akıldan Kalbe (My Dad’s Heart), Sen Ağlama İstanbul (Shahrazad: Tears of Istanbul, also: Aytaç, Simay & Burcu) and Taşacak Bu Deniz (Deep in Love, also: Ali, Onur, Berna, Hande, Ava, Burak, Zeynep & Abdü).

Facts:

• fell in love with acting in high school after his first theatre play and that passion made the craft a natural part of his life
• began his acting education at Akademi 35 Bucuk, where he trained with Vahide Perçin and Altan Gördüm and later continued learning different methods through various workshops
• if he weren’t an actor, he says he might have studied psychology, but his passion for history and archaeology would have pushed him toward becoming an archaeologist
• he is known for his love of nature and his passion for camping
• goes sailing, windsurfing and camping in the summer
• his dream role is playing the multiple characters James McAvoy portrayed in Split
• says his relationship with sports is like Jimi Hendrix with his guitar, he’s never had a period without it
