Burak Erman Yörük is a Turkish actor. He’s best known for his roles in 4N1K, Baraj (also: Feyyaz, Burcu Kirman & Biran), Aşk Mantık İntikam (Love Reason Get Even, Adaptation of Korean Drama – Cunning Single Lady, also: Burcu Özberk) and as Oruç Furtuna in Taşacak Bu Deniz (Deep In Love, also: Berna, Burcu, Hande, Onur, Erdem, Zeynep, Ulaş, Deniz & Ava).

Facts:

• his maternal side is Albanian/Kosovan and his paternal side is Yoruk and from Adana
  • they met while working at Sabah newspaper
  • his father later held an important position at ATV
• after his father left the newspaper, a director who saw Burak at his fathers new workplace said “Bring your son, let’s see how he does.”
  • he went, performed well and the director said “This kid understands what I say and what I want” and that’s how his acting career began
• started acting at age 6 and quit at 12 because his father became a producer, he didn’t want people to think he became famous thanks to him
• in high school, after his father quit producing, he wanted to return to acting
• says he often sits by the rocks at the beach at night to clear his mind
• if you asked what he enjoys most in life, “good food” would be among his top three answers
• loves sports, especially basketball
• says his mother raised him away from material things, teaching him that human-made possessions aren’t rewards
  • what truly matters are conversations, good moments and the energy people share
• in high school, he lived in a small, unfinished house without plaster or heating
  • whenever he saw rich people on TV, he would say “May Allah (god) give them even more.”
  • believes happiness isn’t about money but about living kindly and not hurting others
