Bahar Şahin (Full Name: Elif Bahar Şahin) is a Turkish actress. • her family is originally from Artvin – Türkiye
• she says she is from Ankara and moved to Istanbul at the age of 14 after her parents divorced
  • when they first started living in Istanbul, she would often tell her mother how crowded the city felt and worried that she might get lost or be unable to find her
  • her mother works in the industry as a costume designer, her father, who did not need to work thanks to her grandfather’s financial situation, devoted his time to raising her
  • he brought her up in a more “boyish” way, she had only toy cars and balls growing up and they have a very close, friend-like relationship
• acting was not her childhood dream; she initially wanted to be a kindergarten teacher
  • in 2008, her aunt married well-known actor Ufuk Özkan, beyond being a childhood crush, his profession caught her attention and she began accompanying him to sets
    • during this period, she observed how much he enjoyed his work, how happy he was and how appreciated he felt, he taught her that acting is not about fame or popularity, but about being valued and appreciated by people, she says that if she can become someone like him in her professional life, she would consider herself very lucky
    • later she developed her passion for acting through school and youth theatre, continued pursuing it after moving to Istanbul and remained patient and determined despite obstacles
• she admires Serenay Sarıkaya and says she would like to become an actress like her

• before becoming an actress, she had certain taboos, which made her insist for a long time that she would never do kissing scenes
  • her first kissing scene made her nervous and embarrassed
