Deniz Can Aktaş is a Turkish actor and model. Facts:

• his family is originally from İnebolu – Kastamonu
• seafaring is a family profession passed down from his grandfather, and his name also comes from there (Deniz = Sea)
  • his family has been carrying on this tradition for 30 years, growing up in such an environment, it was of course impossible for him to stay away from the sea, that’s why he studied Marine Engineering
  • now, he is one of the few family members who has stepped outside the industry
  • he states that his true dream is to follow in the footsteps of his father and brother, to take over the maritime business that is his father’s legacy and to develop and advance it together with his brother
  • during high school and university his career plans were different he had thought about finishing school, continuing his education abroad, but, as he puts it, fate had other plans and somehow brought him to where he is today
• he was one of the finalists of Best Model of Turkey 2014
  • during that period, he met his current manager and they discussed pursuing acting if he were to continue in the entertainment industry
  • the Best Model experience became a stepping stone and a valuable experience for him
• learned acting on set through practice and later developed himself seriously by working with coaches and studying films
• tries to work out whenever he finds time away from work
  • he says that sports are a way for him to unwind and under normal circumstances, he devotes four days a week to exercising
• loves cooking and pays close attention to his diet, avoiding packaged, preservative-filled and sugary foods and finds joy in creating new flavours with spices while preparing his own meals gives him a sense of control and makes him rarely eat out
• rowing is one of his interests, he says he hasn’t been able to do it much lately because it’s a very demanding sport that works the entire body and after training, even going to set the next day can be difficult, so he’s taken a short break
• he is a good lover, though sometimes it can be challenging, he says “Love in every form is beautiful. Sometimes I fall in love not just with people, but with nature, my family, mountains and trees too.”
• believes that three things in life are irreplaceable: health, youth and time and that one should live carefully keeping these in mind
  • he says “If I’m with the people I love, healthy and at peace, I feel successful. When I have these, the only thing left to do is be grateful and that makes me happy.”

I don’t like those feelings; when they arise, it feels like one forgets to truly live life. When I fixate on a specific goal, I feel like I’m missing out on the beauty and joy of life.”
