Erdem Şanlı is a Turkish actor. He acted in Avlu (The Yard), Son Yaz (Last Summer), Yasak Elma (Forbidden Apple, also: Doğaç, Belgin & Biran), Kuruluş: Osman (Establishment: Osman, also: Seray, Burak Çelik, Emre, Miray, Ali & Burak), Aşk Mantık İntikam (Love Reason Get Even, Adaptation of Korean Drama – Cunning Single Lady, also: Burak & Burcu) and as Iso in Taşacak Bu Deniz (Deep In Love, also: Berna, Burcu, Hande, Onur, Zeynep, Ulaş, Deniz & Ava).

Facts:

• he is the eldest child of a Bosniak family and has two siblings
• as a child, he mainly watched Geniş Aile (Large Family), but he spent most of his time playing outside, so he didn’t watch much else
• his mother gave him his name after an actor she admired
  • when he told his mother he wanted to be an actor she immediately said “yes!” as if she had been waiting for that moment
• has many fake accounts, whenever one gets blocked, he opens a new one
• living the way he wants and experiencing life freely for him is a form of personal growth
• before acting, he worked behind the camera in TV productions, mainly as an assistant director
• says his job is television, he can’t put his life too much on display (on social media) because it’s his own life and he can’t live it together with others
• taking orders, giving orders, sitting at a desk, making money for someone else and working from 8 to 5, he understood very early that this wasn’t what life should be
